Cabbages & Frocks Market (Saturdays Only)
The Cabbages & Frocks is a small market operating in Marylebone (sorry, I couldn't bring myself to call it Marylebone Village, as stated in the marketing).
The focus is mainly on ambient food products and fashion items. Coffee and cakes are well represented as are other food specialities including: olive oils, balsamic vinegars, cupcakes, fine breads, olives, cheeses, hot chocolate, organic crepes and galettes, plus Moroccan bedouin food from Abdul ex-Momo’s.
The market also supports new designers and cottage industries. There are retro and vintage clothes, homewares, childrens clothes, hand blown glass and jewellery by individual designers. A relatively new venture, it certainly polarises opinion - fans rate it's individuality and the quality of produce, critics bemoan its stallholder snobbery. Though some affordance must be allowed for any new enterprise to find its feet and become an established destination.
The market is in the grounds of St Marylebone Parish Church, opposite the Conran shop at the north end of Marylebone High Street and is open every Saturday from 11am to 5pm.
Nearest Tube – Baker Street.
