The Horse Hospital

The Horse Hospital opened as a sanctuary for sick horses (from Hackney Cab days) back in 1797. In the 1990's it was converted to exhibit a retrospective of Horse Hospital: an arts centre which used to be a rescue home for ex-cab horses.Vivienne Westwood's punk designs, which set an early tone for the exhibition space.

Film, music, spoken word, live performance art, fashion - any medium is catered for (including a recording studio). If you have an interest in underground or avant-garde media, it's a required venue for meeting like-minded devotées. The Horse Hospital operation is not-for-profit and entrance prices vary depending on what or whom is showing.
