Ministry of Sound

Ministry of Sound London attracts 5000 people each weekend and has three dance floors and three bars. It was opened in the early nineties with promises of the most powerful sound system in Europe, which it certainly delivered on. Ministry of Sound: club, record label, brand, but it all began as a club with a system so loud it never gets turned up all the way.The dials are still never turned up beyond half-way for health and safety reasons, they want you to enjoy yourself rather than bleed from the ears.

Starting as a club, then a label, then a brand - the Ministry has grown from a small cult to an international force, but hasn't outgrown its roots. The Gallery (transferred from Turnmills when it closed) is on Fridays, with a range of offerings on Saturdays. Early bird and students get in cheap.

Fri 10pm-6am, Sat 11pm-7am.

103 Gaunt St, SE1 6DP.
