Herbal can sometimes feel more like a party than an organised club, but the people who go undoubtedly like it more for that reason. 
Yep, it's trendy Shoreditch, etc. but the focus here is on the music and energy rather than the club facilities, as it's in an old warehouse. One person's underground authenticity is another person's pricey flea pit - if you like your clubs large and shiny, you might look elsewhere. They don't have a set musical genre to focus on, so go often enough and you'll hear all sorts turning up - house, drum 'n' bass, hip-hop, funk, R&B, etc. Drinks are not too wallet-punishing and there's a terrace to grab a breather, when the heat becomes too much. At Herbal - it's all about the music. Oh, and it's loud too.
