Brazil v Ghana - football match at Craven Cottage, Fulham FC

London's Craven Cottage, home of Fulham FC, will host the five-time World Champions Brazil, for a glamorous friendly on Monday 5th September 2011. The Brazil World Tour returns to London for a mouth-watering clash with Ghana. The 'Black Stars' of Ghana distinguished themselves against England at Wembley Stadium, earlier this year. Further building on their heroics during the 2010 FIFA World Cup, which earned them high regard from neutrals and football fans around the world. A sell-out crowd is anticipated for this clash with the Seleção, and the first time in its history, that Fulham has played host to the Brazilian superstars. The match is organised by the UK arm of sports marketing company, Kentaro.

Originally Brazil were due to play Egypt in Cairo, but security fears in the Egyptian capital led to the Ghana: the 'Black Stars' return to London for a friendly against football leviathans - Brazil. Held at Craven Cottage, Fulham FCnecessary cancellation of that tour date. Ghana have stepped in as welcome replacements. A spirited campaign saw them exit at the quarter-final stage on penalties - after a tense evenly balanced match against Uruguay, in the 2010 World Cup Finals. Residents nearby should expect vuvuzela 'mood-music' to accompany their fanatical local and travelling supporters.

"The Brazilian and Ghanaian National Teams both produced exhilarating and memorable footballing encounters during the World Cup last year and this coupled with their fanatical support should create a fantastic match and occasion at Craven Cottage," Kentaro COO Jonathan Hill said. "We are delighted to be able to bring this match to London and are expecting a huge level of interest in the game."

This latest match in Brazil's world tour will be Ghana and Brazil's first meeting since Sweden 2007, It follows a sell-out match between Brazil and Germany in Stuttgart, earlier this month. (See the video below).

Mano Menezes' Brazilian squad below, includes Robinho, much to the Brazilian fans' relief. Also interesting to note: Ronaldinho has been recalled to the squad Brazil, global purveyors of the 'beautiful game' return to London and include Robinho and an in-form-again Ronaldinhoafter a period languishing in the international wilderness. He was dropped from the squad which fought their World Cup 2010 campaign and has only been recalled once, for a lacklustre loss to Argentina, late last year. A torrid, soul-searching time for the twice 'world player of the year', saw him booed by fans after joining Flamengo in the Brazilian football league, earlier this year. Flamengo are currently top, in no small part attributable to Ronaldinho's scorching form. The second highest scorer in the league, it's his leadership and attitude however, which have prompted the recall. After the shock of their recent loss to Germany, the Brazilian Squad will undoubtedly benefit from his resurgent form, and determination in the face of mounting criticism. Brazil must return to winning ways, their fans demand it. Who better to assist them, than the battle-hardened, Ronaldinho?

Brazil v. Germany, August 2011. 2-3. A rare blip for the Brazilians and the first time Germany has beaten them in 18 years. They should have heeded the popular English maxim: "Never write off the Germans..."

Highlights of the Ghana v. Uruguay quarter-final, 2010 World Cup in South Africa. Drama, tension, finishing skill contributed to a right 'ding-donger', which left everyone's nerves frazzled. Genuinely sad that one team had to lose.
