Born to be Wild - 3D
Born to be Wild 3D tells the story of orphaned orangutans and elephants and the remarkable dedication
of those people who nurture them, before they are returned to their natural habitat.
Narrated by Academy-Award® winner Morgan Freeman, and showing at the BFI IMAX and the Science Museum IMAX this summer, Born to be Wild 3D is a story of love, dedication and the unshakable bond between humans and animals. Captured in IMAX 3D to stunning effect, Born to be Wild 3D is an inspiring adventure that transports its audience from the rugged Kenyan savannah with celebrated elephant authority Dame Daphne M. Sheldrick; to the lush rainforests of Borneo with renowned primatologist Dr. Biruté Mary Galdikas. They and their teams rescue, rehabilitate and then return these vulnerable animals to the Wild. It can take several years of human care, until they are physically and emotionally mature enough to return to their natural environment. As well as their individual survival, ensuring the survival of their natural habitat is of equal concern.
Opening officially at London’s BFI IMAX on 17 June 2011 and at the Science Museum on 2 July 2011, Born to be Wild 3D is presented by Warner Bros. Pictures and IMAX Filmed Entertainment. It is directed by David Lickley and written and produced by Drew Fellman.
There's obviously a fee for entry, but entrance to the Science Museum is free - so a combination day-out might be in order. You can find out more about The Science Museum by following the link above.
