Tucked away and hardly overburdened with space, Andrew Edmunds has been 
successfully serving seasonal dishes to locals, for 25 years. It has a booking policy of a week in advance only, so securing a table is not a difficult task. Fresh produce, eclectic handwritten menus and a very able wine list, combine to produce one of those restaurants that you can pull out of the hat, when you need to eat well in a 'cosy' atmosphere (it's not big).
Andrew Edmunds has atmosphere and a certain style (perhaps, because it's not trying too hard) - that more highfaluting places, fail to capture. Perfect for a romantic evening: the ground floor is narrow, the basement is especially 'friendly' and the exterior, is of the kind you'll walk past without a sideways glance.
