Moro might be one of the coolest venues in one of the hippest parts of the capital but this Clerkenwell restaurant still manages to be relaxed and more concerned with good food than being trendy. The restaurant’s décor with its polished wooden floors, long bar and open view to the kitchen and its wood-burning oven is functional but welcoming. The Moorish cuisine (Morocco meets Spain) complete with some gentle evolution is every bit as delicious today as when Moro opened a dozen years ago.

They also offer a range of high-quality cookbooks which have sold especially  well – partly because of the originality and interest value of the recipes, but also due to the superb and original design motif.
