The English Tea Room at Brown's Hotel has been awarded Top London Afternoon Tea 2009, by The Tea Guild.  

Afternoon tea is legendary at Brown's Hotel. Ever since James Brown established his hotel for 'genteel' folk over 170 years ago, afternoon tea in The English Tea Room has become a British institution.Brown's Hotel: in Mayfair serves award winning afternoon teas.
Relax to the sounds from the Baby Grand Piano and indulge in Brown's award-winning Traditional Afternoon Tea which consists of a choice of 17 teas, including Brown's Hotel's own blend, along with succulent finger sandwiches, an assortment of delicate pastries, fruit and plain scones with clotted cream and strawberry jam, as well as a choice of freshly baked cakes from the trolley.
 

Sketch Parlour

Sketch restaurant requires a deep wallet and an early reservation, but the Sketch Parlour is a walk-in affair offering luxury on a par, albeit for a totally different gourmet experience. Sketch: unconventional, luxurious and memorable.
In addition to set afternoon teas, there is a broad range of fine sandwiches and pastries to choose from. Efficient, aesthetically interesting and the most delicious snack food around.

 

St. Martin's Lane Hotel

Located within Covent Garden, the St. Martin's Lane Hotel is close to West End theatres and Trafalgar Square and offers sweeping London views from its floor-to-ceiling windows. St. Martin's Lane: offer an Asian influenced afternoon tea.

The Dorchester Hotel

Afternoon tea at The Dorchester Hotel is served from 2.30-6.00pm in the magnificent marble and gilded promenade. Booking is essential and dress code is smart casual. There is a pianist who provides entertainment from 3.00 pm onwards every afternoon. Tea is served with silver and on Wedgwood porcelain. The Dorchester: understated elegance.
The Dorchester Afternoon Tea consists of finger sandwiches, freshly baked scones served with homemade strawberry jam, seasonal jam & clotted cream, plus a selection of specially created French pastries all accompanied by tea chosen from extensive tea menu.
 

The National Dining Rooms - Sainsbury Wing

Warm buttermilk scones, organic Peyton and Byrne jams and carefree heaps of clotted cream at the National Dining Rooms - Sainsbury Wing. National Dining Rooms: for a reasonably priced afternoon tea.Freshly-made sandwiches, gorgeous cakes and perfect pastries. Afternoon tea is £16.50 per guest.
