In a quiet, but well-heeled segment of the bustling West End is Dukes Hotel. The bar is of the type that one would imagine 
would be tremendously British: Martinis, Bond villains and loud guffawing. Ian Fleming apparently had the idea for 'shaken not stirred' in this very bar. The service is smart and discreet and the atmosphere engaging. A place for a drink or two before dinner or a show. If it's a Martini, better make that one, they don't scrimp on the gin or vodka.
